What is a Florida notary?

A notary is a duly commissioned representative of the state of Florida appointed by the government that can serve as witnesses to documents being signed. Notaries must uphold the law.

What does a notary do?
A Notary’s duty is to screen the signers of important documents for their true identity, their willingness to sign without duress or intimidation, and their awareness of the contents of the document or transaction.

In simple terms, a notary’s job is to ensure the signer is who they say they are by checking their qualifying ID, making sure they are of sound mind and willing to sign, and watching them sign their document.

Can you notarize legal documents?
Yes, we are experienced with legal documents, and can notarize them for you. Documents such as wills, power of attorney and trust require two witnesses that are not a part of the document or a family member.

Can a notary issue an apostille in Florida?

No. A notary can notarize a document to be apostilled. The apostille has to be issued through the Dept of State in Tallahassee. We can notarize and have our Tallahassee office obtain your apostille from the Dept. of State.

What is a mobile notary?
A mobile notary is a notary that can travel to your location. Whether it be your home, office, hospital, or school…your notary can meet you there. Just like a traditional notary service but more convenient because the notary comes to you.

Mobile notary service is helpful for signers that are unable to travel, for example someone in the hospital or rehab facility that needs a document notarized.

Our Palm Harbor mobile notary service is available to travel to you throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough Counties.

Our Tallahassee mobile notary service is available to travel to you throughout Tallahassee, Havana, Crawfordville, and Monitcello.

Mobile notary fees vary depending on location, time, and services required.

Do we need witnesses to get married in Florida?
No, witnesses are not required.
Do you offer remote online notary service?
Yes! Remote online notarization is a 100% online notarization service where documents of all types can be electronically signed and notarized online using a device with a camera and microphone. Only a certified online notary public can perform online notarizations in Florida.

The signer does not need to be in Florida to have their document online notarized. Our online notarizations are valid in all U.S. states and territories. We can facilitate your online notarization anywhere in the world if you meet the minimum requirements.

What are your business hours?
Palm Harbor notary and Tallahassee notary is available Monday-Friday 8am-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-8pm.

Remote online notary service is available Monday-Friday 9am-8:30pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-8pm.

We do offer rush service, after hours service, weekend, and holiday service. Additional fees will apply for speciality service, please contact us so we can help you in a bind.

Do you need to make an appointment to have something notarized?
Yes, an appointment is required. We are flexible. A 24-hour advance notice is preferred. We do offer same day rush services as well.
Can documents for a minor be notarized?
Under the age of 18 parents or guardians would sign on behalf of the minor unless the minor is engaged in business transactions or serving as a court witness.

We wish we could give more than 5 stars! We tried for about 4 hours to find a notary that was truly 24 hours. Every other one that claims to be 24 hours was not and they were rude when asked about service. We called and she was more than accommodating at a late hour, she did not even hesitate.
